The first trip in Alaska!

So our first week up in Alaska went off quite nicely.  I'm finishing the second trip right now, but I'll get to that later. 

We saw a few whales and had a nice evening spyhopper, here's his nose.

There have been great sunsets lately

As we visit Glacier bay, we get nice views of Margarie glacier, and its looking very different from last year.

Here's a tufted puffin taking off

And a sea lion with a fish

We got lucky with orcas, these were very active

More bugs up here this year than before, I've been "investing in alaska".... In blood.

The bears have been great.  At Hidden falls hatchery we had great bears and they were spewing out eggs from the fish and then licking them up.

And at Emmon's Island we had a great sleepy bear.
