This is a mobula ray that was winging along at the surface. They swim just under water and the tips show.
A nice sunrise. From Isla Carmen.
This is a Double Crested Cormorant and the eyeballs are amazing. Click on the picture and zoom in and look at those eyeballs!
Two sea lions having a bit of a duel over sleeping arrangements.
And a bigger lizard on Espiritu Santo. I also did a couple races, and on one of them there was a photographer out and he got these pictures. Paul, from Bella Luna.
Here I climbed up to the spreaders to look around
And Aquila really gets moving along in light air with the A5 (blue and yellow spinnaker) and the Mainsail.
I'm proud of my learning over the winter with the sails. One of the biggest things this year was getting a new Mainsail and Jib, both of which are less expensive and tougher than previous sails. They are more forgiving when they flap and flog in the wind and when I make a mistake I am less likely to hurt them, so I have gotten to play more with the boat's abilities.
I'm in Bellingham now, and will be heading to Alaska in a week to do a canoe trip, and then working on the Safari Explorer all summer.

Those cormorant eye (lids? guards?) are awesome! The first thing that came to mind is that some sci-fi show needs to use that pattern for a cool alien.
